When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Understanding what is normal versus abnormal
If your server resource consumption is around 30-40% and one fine evening out of nowhere the resource consumption spikes to 70% in just a few minutes, then there is definitely something wrong.
This is one of the reasons why understanding the normal behavior of the traffic patterns is very important, and this should be in written form.
In the following diagram related to network details of a particular network interface, we see that from around 12:30 am to 02:30 am there was a huge spike in traffic. However, after that bump in traffic for a period of 2 hours, during other times, the traffic was next to zero during the night and early morning hours:
