I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Organizing servers in groups
It is recommended to organize servers in a set of groups as, otherwise, if there are a lot of servers added, it will become more difficult to find the relevant one.
The groups should be based on the functionality of a server. This can be a generic group:
- webservers
- appservers
- dbservers
Organizing servers into groups will also help us to quickly push patches to multiple systems at once; we will discuss this in the later sections.
Spacewalk provides a great feature to organize systems into Systems Groups, which allows us to organize servers into specific groups.
