I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
A real-world scenario
In one of the organizations, the business analytics team complained that it took a very long time to process data on their Pentaho platform. It took around 20-25 second for the operation to complete. On detailed analysis, it was found that the Pentaho server was in the Ireland region and the database was in the Singapore region. Once the image of the Pentaho server was moved to the same network as that of the database server, the operation time was just 2-3 seconds.
