It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

In this approach, we have a centralized patch management system to which all servers are connected. At a click of a button, with the packages selected, all the packages will be pushed. It takes just two minutes of work from the system administrator's side. On the note, it also keeps track of what packages were pushed at what time to keep track of entire update life cycle.
