It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
The Network Transport Layer
The Network Transport Layer is the first layer of the TCP/IP model and the same is reflected in the packet data. This layer defines how data is sent through the network.
If we open the packet, there are two important fields:
- Destination address: This is ideally the MAC address of the gateway router
- Source address: This is the MAC address of the device sending the data
