When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Configuring clients
Once we have the packages synced to our Spacewalk repository, we can go ahead and connect our clients to the Spacewalk server.
Connecting clients to the Spacewalk server is rather simple and is just a three-step process.
- Download the Spacewalk client repository:
rpm -Uvh http://yum.spacewalkproject.org/2.6-client/RHEL/7/x86_64/spacewalk-client-repo-2.6-0.el7.noarch.rpm
- Install the Spacewalk client packages:
yum -y install epel-release yum -y install rhn-client-tools rhn-check rhn-setup rhnsd m2crypto yum-rhn-plugin
- Download the certificate from Spacewalk:
[root@web1 ~]# wget https://spacewalk.kplabs.internal/pub/rhn-org-trusted-ssl-cert-1.0-3.noarch.rpm --no-check-certificate
