Securing data in transit
Securing end-to-end communication for IoT mobile applications has been known to be a difficult problem to solve. Often, data is leaked via clear text protocols such as HTTP or UDP (SIP) for audio transmission to a mobile application. On occasion, IoT manufacturers have been found to leak data to third parties that only communicate over HTTP or use less secure encryption configurations for analytic services such as content recognition or crash reporting analytic services.
