Step 2: Identifying threats
An attacker could exploit the DVR hardware inputs to do the following:
- Gain access to the consoles via UART
- Dump secrets within the EEPROM
- Exploit a flaw in the USB stack to the DVR
- Attach a malicious USB device that causes corruption
- Short the DVR power inputs
- Glitch the DVR bootloader into console access
- Install malicious software via USB
