Once we have looked at the PCB and have found enough information about the overall circuit and the various components involved in it, the next step is to look for all the possible options of interfacing with the device.
In some cases, it could be pretty evident and standing out in front of you, and in others it might be something tougher to identify, by being scattered across the board or, in some cases, where you will have to directly hook into the legs of a given chipset.
