Once we have identified the communication protocol/interface in use, we can use a specific set of tools to communicate with the target device over the given protocol and interact with the target or read/write information to the given chip.
Depending on the interface under scrutiny, we will be using different techniques to connect to it and acquire useful data for pen testing. Some of the most commonly found interfaces are UART, JTAG, SPI, I2C, and 1-Wire.
