I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

J.R. Storment（J.R. ストーメント）
FinOps Foundationのエグゼクティブディレクター。FinOps Foundationは、Linux Foundationプログラムの一部で、世界中で約10,000人（本書原書第2版 刊行時点）のメンバーを誇り、世界最大のクラウド利用者の大半が参加している。彼は、2011年から2019年までクラウドコスト管理の先駆者であるCloudabilityの共同創業者だった。CloudabilityはApptioに買収され同社の主力製品となった。買収後、彼はCloudabilityのビジネスユニットのプロダクト／エンジニアリングのVP兼クラウド担当GMとして1年間を過ごしたあと、FinOps分野で働く人々の発展を推進することに情熱を注ぐためにCloudabilityを退職し、非営利団体のLinux Foundationで正社員として働いている。2023年現在、Apple、Spotify、BP、Nike、Uber、GEなど、世界最大のクラウド利用企業と密接に連携し、テクノロジー、文化、プロセスを通じてクラウド利用を最適化し分析する戦略の策定を13年間支援している。J.R.は、複数のAWS re:Inventや、米国、APAC、UK、EUの数十のカンファレンスでFinOpsについて登壇している。オレゴン州で生まれ、ハワイで育ったJ.R.は、サンフランシスコ、バルセロナ、ロンドンに住み、現在は妻のJessica、息子のOliverとともにオレゴン州のポートランドに戻っている。彼は双子の男の子の父親であることを自認しているが、Oliverの兄弟のWileyは、2019年に本書の初版執筆中に逝去している。
