It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Ctrl key
On the Macintosh, you generally substitute the 
key in keystrokes that would normally
involve the Control key. In other words, the Save command is now -S instead
of Ctrl-S, Open is -O instead of Ctrl-O, and so on.
