In Mac OS X, you have two convenient ways to look for files. You can type into the Search bar at the top of every desktop window (Section 2.9), or you can choose File→Find for a more complete search by almost any criterion, including words inside the files. Chapter 2 contains details.
To find Web sites, you use Sherlock (Chapter 20) or the Google Search box in the Safari browser.
