NISC technology was originally developed in the Center for Embedded
Computer Systems (CECS) in University of California Irvine and its toolset is avail-
able for public use [6]. The rest of this chapter first presents an overview of NISC
design flow and then describes the GNR language for capturing a system consisting
of one or more NISC components.
