Dedicated registers for stack and frame pointers are to be speciﬁed. Registers,which

cannot be saved to memory, are also to be noted. Second, the calling conventions,

that is, the state of the processor before and after a function execution require

to be properly described for a working compiler. This includes determination of

registers for passing function parameters and return values. All these speciﬁcations

can be done via different panes of the Compiler Designer GUI.The parameters like C

data-type details and type alignment of the target processor can be entered in the

GUI table.
