Creating a Bridgit Meeting
When you create a meeting, you’re the owner of the meeting (see “To be or not to be: What role do you want to play?” earlier in this chapter), which means you control all the meeting options.
To set up a meeting, follow these steps:
1. Open the Bridgit software by double-clicking the Bridgit icon on your desktop (Windows) or by clicking the Bridgit icon in your Dock (Mac).
The SMART Bridgit Software dialog box (shown in Figure 13-5) appears.

2. Select the Create New Meeting tab (see Figure 13-6).
3. Enter your name in the Your Name field.
The name you enter will appear in the Participants List.
4. Enter a name for the meeting in the Meeting Name field.

5. If you want your meeting to have a password, enter the password in the Password field and again in the Confirm Password field.
If you don’t password-protect the meeting, anyone who can view the list of meetings on your network can join the meeting.
6. If your IT department has enabled VoIP and you want to use it, make sure you select the Automatically Open Microphones check box.
