I am in the business of experience design because... …I strongly believe that user experience design is the new currency of success for businesses. I am also sick and tired of business building tons of features in the garb of digital transformation and getting it wrong. …It is where we can converge around users to apply reason to creativity. Products are made to be used by people who need a problem solved. This means every product should have a clear reason for existence, but it can address the problem in any multitude of ways.
Your favorite play and why The shared empathy play: When deployed well, the transformation is very visible in all aspects of people, process, and environment. For instance, it affects how the organization behaves, hires, incentivizes, and makes decisions. The experience metrics play: This play makes the user the focal point of how success is measured in a company, and only good things happen when a company measures success by their user’s success.
Tips on how to fuel business growth through design Experiment! Take one of the plays and try it, learn from it before moving to the next play. You can only win or lose the game if you play it. :) Know thy user.
