CHAPTER 50THE MANIFESTOS
As you come to the end of this book, I hope you’ve built a deeper understanding of the power of experience design in a rapidly digitally transforming world. I also hope that you’ve been able to identify a few relevant plays to leverage within your organization. Just remember that this journey is not going to be easy, as you’re going against the laws of inertia, and therefore it will take you a few iterations to get it right.
To better enable you in this pursuit, I’ve distilled the essence of this book into two aspirational manifestos: one for practitioners to enable them in their journey in designing the best experiences, and the other for business and design leaders to enable their teams and organizations to drive business value through user experience design.
The 10 commitments in each manifesto are meant as reminders of the effort required to get it right. I would encourage you to print the relevant manifesto and display it in your work environment so you and your team are constantly exposed to it.
If you’d like to print this out you can go to www.UXDPlaybook.com, where you’ll find a version to share within your organization.
