Phase 5 – Design

We will develop a network and security design for the Cloud environment based on the requirements and use cases from the Assess phase. To accomplish this objective, we will perform the following workshops and design documentation activities:

VMware network virtualization design to focus on the following:

• Virtual network architecture
• Workload connectivity requirements
• Infrastructure service delivery
• Security architecture
• Specific design components as applicable to selected use cases for the Cloud solution, including feature considerations such as:

• • Organizational networks
  • Logical routing
  • NSX Edge gateway services
  • Logical firewalls
