Scalability

By default, vRealize Log Insight is deployed using a single virtual machine with no clustering. To scale up, increase resources such as the amount of CPU, memory, or IOPS available to consume. IOPS is typically the limiting factor, depending on the number of queries.

If your installation is too big for a single instance, distribute data across multiple vRealize Log Insight instances, dividing data according to the following:

• Data center
• Role
• Tag, host, or IP address range

You can also use a syslog-ng or rsyslog system to split a single feed of data.
