Virtual SAN Health Check Plug-in
In vSphere 6.0, VMware introduced the Virtual SAN Health Check Plug-in as a simple way to check the health of the vSAN cluster. As of vSAN 6.1, it is included by default.
The plugin provides details on the following:
- Whether the vSAN configuration is fully supported, functional, and operational
- The root cause in the event of a failure with instant notifications and helps in speedy remediation
- Testing various aspects of the configuration
The following figure shows an example of the Virtual SAN Health Check Plug-in. VMware recommends using the Virtual SAN Health Check Plug-in to allow for easy monitoring of the vSAN clusters:
