Conceptual design
vRealize Configuration Manager employs an agent-based model for compliance and change management data collections. Data collected from different sources is recorded in the Configuration Manager database where it is available for reporting and compliance checking. If any changes to a managed machine or virtual environment are initiated externally, they will only be reflected in Configuration Manager after the successful completion of a scheduled/manual data collection from a machine or virtual environment.
