Windows machine collections are granular, and for the purposes of change and compliance, management will track individual registry values and file system settings. Although only out-of-the-box compliance templates will be used, copies of these can be made and modified to include additional attributes.

Security and compliance templates can be enforced on groups of machines so that they are compliant. Any changes made to a managed machine can be rolled back to their previous state if they are found to be not-compliant, or if they have been made without changes to authorization.
