I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Getting ready
You will need the FQDN/IP address of the NFS server and the folder path (export) information handy before you proceed. Your storage admin can provide you with this information. NFS will also require a VMkernel interface to connect to the storage. Hence, you should make sure that one is already created for this purpose.
At the NFS server, configure to allow root access to your shares. It is commonly referred to as no_rootsquash.
