It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
How it works...
In the stateful install mode of deployment, the device on which the host needs to be installed is governed by the host profile. There is also granular control provided to the user to specifically locate the disks of specific make or model for target installation. As discussed earlier, this mimics more or less the manual installation methodology to persistently install the ESXi image onto the disk.
