When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
How to do it...
The following two procedures will guide you through the steps involved in exporting and importing Host Profiles:
- Log in to the vSphere Web Client and use the key combination Ctrl + Alt + 1 to navigate to the inventory home.
- At the inventory home, click on Host Profiles to view all the profiles already created.
- Right-click on the Host Profile and click on Export Host Profile:
- After the retrieval of the profile data, you will be prompted to acknowledge the information that the passwords will not be exported. Click Save:
- In the Save As windows, supply a name for the profile file and click Save.
- You should see an Export ...
