I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
How to do it...
To be able to view the performance charts, have a look at the following steps:
- Connect to the vCenter server and select an object/hierarchy you want to monitor performance for. Navigate to Monitor | Performance to bring up the performance Overview or Advanced view.
- Performance charts can be pulled against a vCenter instance, a data center, a cluster, an ESXi host, or a VM. In the following screenshot, we look into the host CPU's past day performance:
