So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
How to do it...
The following procedure will help you use vCenter tags to create and assign custom capabilities to datastore objects for their use with virtual machine storage policies:
- Connect to the vCenter Server using the web client and use the inventory menu to go to Tags & Custom Attributes:
- In the Tags & Custom Attributes page, go to the Categories tab and click on the
icon to create a New Category for datastores:
