
Through coaching, Sarah began to realize that she needed to reframe
some of her values and attitudes. She needed to let go of her
traditional view of loyalty: her’s to the company and the company’s
to her. She was shocked to acknowledge that she had to change her
view of her career path, which she realized she had taken from her
parents; and learn that sticking to one company en route to the top
was not necessarily the way forward. She began to understand that
her perception of the company as betraying her good faith and
excellent performance was not helpful to her, and certainly that
getting a reputation for being a ‘whiner’ would not get her another ...
