It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

ねて半透明の背景色を表示する例がありました。ここでは、テキストを読
みやすくすることが意図されています。とても印象的な効果を得られます
が、背景色の透明度が高い場合や背景画像が派手な場合などには依然とし
てテキストは読みにくいままです。例えば図4.14では、main要素に対し
て半透明の白色の背景が指定されています。マークアップは以下のとおり
