So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Knowing What Gear Your Second Shooter Has
When you hire a second shooter, try to find out before the wedding what kind of gear he owns. Certain kinds of great pictures can be taken with any type of camera, but sometimes a photographer can be limited by the kind of gear he has. For example, if your second shooter has a basic DSLR that doesn’t have good low-light capabilities, you may assign him to other tasks when photographing in a dimly lit room. Also, you may also want to consider the number of pixels the second shooter’s camera has. Keep in mind that pixels can determine print size (for more on pixels, see Chapter 2), so it may matter if your couple wants a print from a photo that your second shooter took.
