Multiple Users

The new multiple users feature enables you to set up your computer for use by more than one person. Each user can set different interface and appearance options and access a different set of files. One person—the owner—has control over access and features. The owner can include security measures that protect applications and documents.

Tip

The multiple users feature is especially handy in two scenarios:

  • In a workplace, where multiple workers share a single computer.

  • At home, where multiple family members share a single computer.

To enable/disable multiple users

Choose Apple menu > Multiple Users (Figure 1) to display the Multiple Users control panel window (Figure 22).
