The Appearance control panel includes six tabs you can use to set options that determine how your Mac looks and sounds:
Themes (Figure 1) enables you to select a group of predefined settings that combine all other appearance options.

Appearance (Figure 3) enables you to choose an appearance option, highlight color, and variation color.
