Location Manager

The Location Manager control panel (Figure 82) enables you to create locations—groups of computer settings for a specific place or purpose.

The settings you can include in a location depend on Location Manager modules installed in your computer. The modules that come with Mac OS 9 let you include the following settings:

  • AppleTalk & TCP/IP switches between configurations of AppleTalk and TCP/IP (Chapter 10).

  • Auto-Open Items are the items to open at startup (Chapter 14).

  • Default Printer is the default printer (Chapter 9).

  • Extension Set is the name of the Extension ...
