Group policies allow us to manage computer settings and user settings in many ways. However, infrastructure operation requirements often change due to several reasons. As an example, they can be based on new application versions, new security requirements, new business policy requirements, and more. We know that group policies can be used to manage organization-wide settings, but not all of the requirements will be supported by default. As an example, by the time AD DS 2008 was released, it was not possible to have group policies that could manage settings in the Office 2016 application.
