The following checklist covers all the steps you need to follow when deploying a new child domain:
- Prepare the physical/virtual resources for the domain controller.
- Install Windows Server 2016 Standard/Datacenter.
- Patch the servers with the latest Windows updates.
- Assign a dedicated IP address to the domain controller.
- Find information about the AD forest and Schema Admin/Enterprise Admin login details for the existing forest root domain.
