Azure AD Managed Domain is not a cloud version of on-premises AD, but it is supported by AD functions such as Kerberos/NT LAN Manager (NTLM) authentication, domain join, and Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) queries. Azure AD Managed Domain is not running any DCs that we can Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) or connect to using any other method. As tenants, we only have limited control over the Azure AD Managed Domain services. So far, we have learned how authentication works in a hybrid cloud environment.
