Prepared state
The following steps demonstrate how to start migration by setting the system to the prepared state:
- Log in to the domain controller as the Domain Admin or Enterprise Admin.
- Launch the PowerShell console.
- Type dfsrmig /setglobalstate 1.
- Type dfsrmig /getmigrationstate to confirm that all the domain controllers have reached the Prepared state.
