It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
OPERATIONS INFRASTRUCTURE AREAS
The term operations infrastructure is an inclusive term that spans and supports work as it progresses through all of the organizational functions of a business. Within Operations Due Diligence, I divide the operations infrastructure into eight subinfrastructure areas plus the institutionalized processes that, in combination, support all of the work to be performed by a business (see Figure 3.1). These areas include the customer satisfaction, production, information management, sales and marketing, organizational, personnel, financial, and legal operating functions of the business plus all of the institutionalized processes and procedures that guide these operations.
