The creative work efforts of a business result in proprietary assets, including unique product designs and technologies, manufacturing methods, white papers, brand designs, and logos, which all become the intellectual property of the business. These intellectual property assets bring value to the business and need to be protected by patents, trademarks, or copyrights.
