I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Ensuring that all vendor software used by the business is properly and legally licensed is a legal issue, a financial issue, a procedural issue, a policy issue, and an ethics issue that can give you tremendous insight into the business environment you are considering investing in. After all, if the business expects to be paid for its products, it should also expect to pay for other businesses’ products that it uses! It amazes me how many people just don’t recognize the gravity of this issue. They would never consider shoplifting a published music CD out of a store, but they have no concern about accepting a CD with pirated software from another individual.
