Regardless of which installation method you use, you must stage the installation media by placing all of the media in a single directory. You can mount the image files (or CD-ROMs) and copy the files to a single directory. You can mount ISO images on a server using the loop option as follows:
[root@manager ~]# mount -o loop /u01/stage/OEL5-x86_64-disc1.iso /media/cdrom
Once you’ve mounted the media, copy the entire contents of the CD-ROM to the installation directory. An example is shown here:
[root@manager ~]# cp -R /media/cdrom /u01/stage/OEL5-5-x64
Repeat this process for each of the CD-ROM images in the installation set: mount each CD-ROM, copy the files, and then unmount the CD-ROM. Once you’ve copied all of the images, ...
