Summary

This chapter covered some very straightforward, but crucial topics: how to create a new virtual machine from a template and how to modify a virtual machine. As you have noticed throughout this book, preparation is really most of the work. Once the VM Servers and support systems, such as templates, ISO images, and so on, are set up, creating the virtual machine is not very difficult.

Though installing virtual machines using templates is usually the preferred method, in order to create a machine from scratch, you will install the virtual machine using installation media manually. This is covered in the next chapter.
