Configuring the OVMCLI

Regardless of the installation method, you now need to configure the ovmcli utility so it can connect to the Oracle VM Server system. During the configuration process, you need the port number of the Oracle VM Server. To review, the port that is used to connect to the Oracle VM Manager varies based on whether you chose Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) during the Oracle VM Manager installation process. The following are the ports used by the Oracle VM Manager:

Standard Interface 8888 http://<VM Manager System>:8888/OVShttp://control:8888/OVS
Secure Interface 4443 https://<VM Manager System>:4443/OVShttps://control:4443/OVS
