Summary

The OVM CLI is a useful command-line tool for quickly and efficiently issuing and scripting Oracle VM Manager commands without having to use the GUI interface. Its scripting feature is very convenient and allows you to set up repetitious tasks to run in the background without requiring extensive interactive action by the administrator. The downside of the OVM CLI is that it requires the Oracle VM Manager, thus it cannot be used on servers that are managed via OEM Grid Control. The method you select really depends on each individual configuration and its needs.
