Hardware and Software Prerequisites for VM Manager
To install the VM Manager, you first need to allocate a host system and install and configure the OS. The VM Manager runs on either a 64-bit or 32-bit version of Linux—either Oracle Enterprise Linux (OEL) or Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) version 4.5 or higher. The VM Manager does not use a full Oracle database for its repository; therefore, not as many OS packages are required to support its installation.
