This chapter covered creating a virtual machine manually (from scratch) and installing the OS within Oracle VM. The three methods—VM Manager, OEM Grid Control, and OVM CLI—were covered here, however, manual installation is not preferred for installing the OS. The preferred method of installing the OS is to create a template, or install from an existing template that you modify and then create new templates from. Templates are one of the key features of Oracle VM and are easy to use and very powerful.
