It’s not grunge type—it’s distressed (damaged) type. This classic effect is as popular as ever, and it shows up in everything from
store brands to clothing to movie posters—all using a distressed look based on the technique you’re going to do here.
STEP ONE: Create a new document
that’s 9x7" at 72 ppi in RGB mode.
Create a new layer by clicking on the
