STEP ELEVEN: Now you’re going to add

a background texture. In the Layers pal-

ette, click on the Background layer and

press Control-J to duplicate it. Choose

Fill Layer from the Edit menu. In the Fill

Layer dialog, choose Pattern from the

Use pop-up menu, and then click on the

Custom Pattern thumbnail to bring up

the Pattern Picker. Click on the Pattern

Picker’s flyout menu and choose Texture

Fill to load that set of texture patterns.

Return to the flyout menu again and

choose Small List so you can see the

patterns by name. Choose the pattern

named Noise, but don’t click OK yet.
