STEP ONE: Create a new document
in RGB mode (this example is 8x6").
Press G to switch to the Gradient tool,
and then press Enter to bring up the
Gradient Picker onscreen. From the
default set of gradients, choose the
Copper gradient (it’s the fifth gradient
in the second row). Click the Gradient
tool at the top of the image window
and drag to the bottom—but you need
to do two things when dragging the
gradient: (1) Drag at a slight angle to
the right, and (2) start at the top but
drag about an inch past the bottom of
the image window (it’s easier than it
